Capacity Builder Covenant
About MYBE AWARDS Capacity Builder Covenant
- The MYBE Capacity building Covenant is a commitment and a pledge that focuses on helping local employer organisations, charitable/non-profit sector organisations and some service users in public organisations for a defined time period to make a valid contribution that enhances and enables capacity building on a number of levels.
This may be best described through example. Here are some of the ways we intend capacity building to be expressed through this covenant:
- Supporting the development and application of skills in the workplaces. For example assisting in setting up a payroll system or a customer database, or invoicing assistance, or providing a coaching role to inexperienced employees.
- Helping with education or school attendance or enabling family wellbeing through referrals and support.
- Supporting people starting in a new career.
- Helping vulnerable people with access to healthcare or getting the advice and assistance they need including people with mental or physical health disabilities.
- Enabling people with reduced mobility to secure advice, guidance and practical services to make their lives easier.
- Supporting and assisting people in recovery from substances, offending or combinations of complex circumstances.
- Assisting organisations to support young people at risk of exploitation through positive role modelling and opportunity finding.
- Assisting and supporting older people who face discrimination in the labour market.
This list of opportunities is far more extensive than the examples provided.
Please check our website and social media pages to consider what is on offer and don’t forget to re-visit these platform regularly as more and more capacity building opportunities are registered as more volunteers, peer, workplace and practical mentors are trained and available.
